Mt. Desert Isl. near the Long Pond pumping station on Friday, 1 Swainson's Thrush was a nice addition to the usual suspects on a very short lunch hour walk
Yesterday, near sunrise on Willard Beach, low tide (So Portland):
5 Green-winged Teal
1 Semi Plov
1 Semi Plov
Yesterday on the Eastern Rd in Scarborough Marsh, rising tide, highlights included:
Merlin 1
N. Harrier 1 juv
Cooper's Hawk 1
40+ Snowies, 5 Little Blues, plus 14 Great Egrets, 4 Great Blue Herons and Glossies
Tons of Greater Yellowlegs (80+), plus smaller numbers of Lessers (20+), Leasts, at least one White-rumped, at least one Long-billed Dowitcher, 1 Wilson's Snipe, 4+ Semi Plovers, and peeps. Tough light -- glare and backlighting -- on the eastern pannes around 10 a.m.
