Sounds like a fun trip.
Congrats on the Baird's. There is one previous record of a Baird's Sandpiper on Monhegan Island - seen by Roger Peterson in August 1931. It was reported in Summer Birds of Lincoln County Maine by Allen Cruickshank.
I'm continuing my work on The Birds of Monhegan Island book and appreciate the sightings that are posted and sent to me by any birders from the island. Please keep them coming. Thanks.
