[Maine-birds] Busy feeder

5/12/13
A cool, wet day seemed to bring in a good variety of birds to my feeders in Bar Harbor. There had been a considerable decrease in activity during the past 7+ days of sunny, dry, but cool days. All of the following within 1 hour.
Hairy, Downy Woodpeckers
Blue Jay, American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee, 1 Tufted Titmouse
Red-breasted Nuthatch 3, White-breasted Nuthatch 2
Brown Thrasher 1
Cardinal 2; m and f
Cardinal, pair
Chipping Sparrow 4, Song Sparrow 1, White-throated Sparrow 3, Slate-c Junco 10+
Baltimore Oriole 1 male at suet feeder
Purple Finch 6 (3 male 3 female), House Finch 2, Pine Siskin 1, American Goldfinch 8

The male Cardinal was the dominant bird intimidating everything but a Gray Squirrel.
