Phippsburg, Maine Map 6 Small Point
My husband mows lawns for a living. He was on Small Point today mowing. He reported to me that while he was mowing (riding mower) a partridge stood him down, wandered around so he couldn't back up and had to maneuver around the bird so as not to hit it numerous times, had it chase him several times and so on for 45" or so while he mowed. The bird was persistent in preserving what seemed to be a territory dispute.
My husband drives a John Deere. That fact might be significant for serious birders and a point I would definitely include for the rare bird committee.
