Comments: The annual Mothers Day celebration offered an opportunity to bird a small vernal pool in the back of the property. A Red-bellied Woodpecker was working the trees with a Hairy Woodpecker. Warblers are in the mix as well

Red-bellied Woodpecker (Melanerpes carolinus) 1 Not expecting this one. A male bird gave a short call than flew for good looks . This bird will be monitored over the next couple of days.
