[Maine-birds] Northern Maine Birds: Am White Pelican returns

Between work-related site visits this morning, I swang through Lake Josephine in Easton and found that the American White Pelican had returned to the area.  The bird was sitting on a stump, mid-lake with a couple Double-crested Cormorants.

The pelican was last spotted departing from nearby Christina Reservoir on July 31 and to my knowledge, hasn't been reported since.  I was able to get a few phone photos.

13 American Kestrels spotted on the wires along my route home tonight.  An adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird is still lingering at my feeders too.
