RE: [Maine-birds] BLACK SKIMMER, Sandy Point Morning Flight, 10/4

A juvenile black skimmer was at The Hook on Chebeague Island around 8:00 this morning. I heard a report that someone saw two at the same place yesterday.

Subject: [Maine-birds] BLACK SKIMMER, Sandy Point Morning Flight, 10/4

Hi all,
A light flight over and through Sandy Point Beach, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth today was punctuated by a BLACK SKIMMER!  I heard the bird calling to the north of the bridge, and eventually found it as it alighted on a small sandbar.  As the tide inundated the bar, it took off and began foraging, last seen heading north, up the bay.
