Caught the silhouette of a large Accipiter flying low & fast through the trees at dawn. Saw him flying the opposite direction in same area this evening.
It was large enough to be a Buteo, but tail was longer. Broadwings I'm assuming are all gone. Haven't seen any Red-Tails in area and tail was too long so I don't think it was a Buteo.
Hope to be able to catch a glimpse of this bird in better light to make a positive ID. Area the bird was spotted in is an area of mixed woodlands near an open field and several areas that were logged. Lots of Grouse, Red Squirrel, Snow Shoe Hares in area. So plenty of food to support a Goshawk.
