[Maine-birds] Popham Beach this afternoon

...after Peter V and I had fun photo-ing a Hudwit in the lagoon, Peter split for Seawall, while I took a nap on a log. Later, while I was happily taking photos of the same (?) Hudwit, plus 2 Dunlins, 11 BBPlovers, and a few peeps foraging together in the surf zone, an adult Peregrine Falcon flew in off the Gulf of Maine, and busted up the group. As if foraging peeps don't have enough to worry about, with the continuing Merlin getting bolder and bolder, now this guy shows up. Photos on flickr.
