[Maine-birds] South Lubec Sand Flats

Hudsonian Godwits are not a common sight in Lubec, but five were on the sand flats today. There were at least two American Golden Plovers amongst all the Black-bellieds. We also watched a Caspian Tern coming in toward the beach…then going out. A Black-billed Cuckoo was heard calling from the bushes on the house side of the wetland.

At Quoddy Head State Park, we watched a distant Pomarine Jaeger harass gulls.
