The immature male Ruby-throated Hummingbird revisited our feeders (West Bath) again this morning. Has apparently been in our yard since the 17th, altho we weren't available to make obs on the 19th. Many photos in the dark light, indicate that there has been a measurable progression in moult on several loci of the throat and body. Enough difference, that I initially wondered whether this might be a diff bird.
And the faithful Hudwit that Don Reimer has been reporting, was present in strong sunlight, in Thomaston this afternoon. 100s of photos of this rather confiding bird.
