6:56 am The warbler is sitting on the branch next to the suet feeder. This is why I have missed him in the morning. I've been sleeping in! By the time I got the camera focused, he had already gotten a bite of suet and flown away.

Woweeee!!!! The Yellow-throated warbler is still here! We didn't see him feeding, but as Drew walked past the stack of pallets (roadside to the suet feeder) he saw the warbler huddled in one of the slots of the pallets. The warbler flew off, but will hopefully be back as this is a great protected spot for it to hang out in. So, Don, I wonder if you saw it while you were in your car right next to the pallets today? Again, if anyone comes to look for the warbler, park in front of the left hand garage bay door. Thanks. That allows Drew to come and go as needed.

We just hung a second suet feeder in the hopes that the squirrels won't be able to access it. I kinda, sorta think the warbler has moved on...But, I will surely be vigilant during the afternoon feeding rush from 2pm on. Feel free to come on over if you'd like! Park in front of the left garage bay.

We saw some nuthatches, downy and hairy woodpeckers, crows and a raven in the air. Rob played some chickadee sounds from his phone app, but to no avail. I was so bummed that Janet, Rob, and the McGraths did not see the warbler today. I'll keep you posted if I see it tomorrow.

They got spooked after a few minutes and left. I did not see the warbler with them. Hopefully, it will show around the 2pm time frame.

However, along with the chickadees, came slate-colored juncos, blue jays, titmice, doves, a few downy woodpeckers, and squirrels. A couple of chickadees fed at the seed feeder, and then flew away. All the other birds stayed for about 10 minutes maximum.
10:50 am - Neighbor dog, Zoe, is in prime squirrel chasing mode which does not bode well for birds visiting the feeder right now. But, she went home when asked.

The entire flock fled due to this being prime squirrel activity at the suet feeders. So, it is around even in the morning, but I haven't seen the chickadees since. 2pm seems to be a better time to view the bird as the squirrels aren't in a feeding frenzy at that time.

We live in Bowdoin, Maine next to Caesar Pond. The warbler stayed around for at least 20 minutes. This is our first sighting of this species in Maine.
