[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week plus, 1/14-22

Hi all,

Additional observations of note from me over the past 9 days included the following:

- 1 adult and 1 3rd-cycle Iceland Gull, Old Port, Portland, 1/14.

- 1 continuing WESTERN TANAGER, Saco Riverwalk, 1/15 (with Luke Seitz).

- 2 RUDDY TURNSTONES with 2 Dunlin and ~150 Purple Sandpipers, East Point, Biddeford Pool, 1/15 (with Luke Seitz).

- 191 Red-necked Grebes, 35 Razorbills, etc, East Point and Ocean Avenue, Biddeford Pool, 1/15 (with Luke Seitz).

- 1 continuing YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, Mere Point Road near Wild Aster Lane, Brunswick, 1/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk "group").

- 1 continuing PINE WARBLER, home of Jay Stormer, Brunswick, 1/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk "group"). 

- 4+ Lesser Scaup with +/- 833 Greater Scaup, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 1/18 (with Jeannette). Scaup were present on 1/21 but extremely far.

- 1 Purple Finch (FOY), our yard in Pownal, 1/19. Three by 1/21.

- 1 pair NORTHERN SHOVELERS and 1 Pine Siskin (FOY), Maquoit Bay Trail, Brunswick, 1/21.

- 2 1st-cycle Glaucous Gulls, Hatch Hill Landfill, Augusta, 1/22.

- 117 Common Mergansers, Mill Park, Augusta, 1/22.
