The 1st winter Mew Gull is in the eastern lobster pound at Owls Head Harbor. The bird occasionally goes out to exposed flats beyond but has been spending most of its time over the past 50 minutes feeding in the pens and acting much like a Bonaparte's Gull, hovering and dipping or delicately pecking for food at the water's surface. Thanks Scott, Don, and Margaret!
