All,
-- I was saddened to hear the news of Glen's passing.
I met Glen Jenks once, when my wife and I traveled to Camden to look for the "Oregon" Dark-eyed Junco he had reported from his yard. I emailed him about coming up and he encouraged me to come to the door when we came, which I did. Glen was in the middle of a piano lesson with a student but came to the door and told me where to stand to view his feeders out back, and told of several other feeders in the neighborhood I should check. Although I didn't find the bird, I met the very welcoming and gracious Glen Jenks.
When I reported a "Oregon" Dark-eyed Junco in our own yard, Glen contacted me immediately and we wondered if it might be the same bird. Since then we have emailed periodically when one or the other has reported a particular bird, although Glen posted infrequently. Within the last year, or so, Bill Green (WCSH 6), on Bill Green's Maine, featured Glen and a story about a friend of Glen's who bequeathed him a guitar. It was a wonderful story that highlighted Glen's impact on others, as well as his talents, and his very full and rich musical life. I hope Bill will run the segment again.
I'm sure others have wonderful memories of Glen.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write to notify all who were Glenn's friends and fellow birders that he passed away unexpectedly last night.
