After a great "Wings of Winter" field trip led by Linda Woodward and Turk Duddy, I headed to Rockland to see the Mew Gull. It was moving around a bit, and I eventually found it in the left pen around 3:40. The descriptions, flight style and foraging behavior were all great help. After the Mew Gull flew out onto the harbor side of the pen, an Iceland Gull showed up. Noah Gibb and company arrived about 5 minutes after, and confirmed my id, and added that it was likely a 3rd phase Iceland Gull. Thanks to the whole friendly birding community for the posts and updates, bird walks, and great attitude, I'm very grateful, and inspired by you. Sincerely, Steve Muise
