[Maine-birds] Re: Hooded Warbler in Portland

I am so glad!!! That happens at my house occasionally as I have 2 large picture windows.  It happened last winter with a Cooper's Hawk which flew down to attack a mourning dove.  The Hawk sat on the porch for a few minutes, and then flew off, got some nice pictures.  The mo do was not so lucky…

Standing on my porch this morning I was dismayed when a Hooded Warbler, which I've never before seen in Maine, crashed into a window on my house on Highland Street in Portland. Not the best way to make its acquaintance, but after a few minutes he rallied and flew off.
