It is that time of year again for the Big Sit.   For those who do not know what it is, The Big Sit is an annual, international, noncompetitive birding event hosted by Bird Watcher's Digest and founded by the New Haven (Connecticut) Bird Club. Every year, bird watchers from around the globe unite on this special day by participating in this free event, open to any person and club in any country!  We count birds in a 17 foot circle.

We will be having one at Maine Audubon in Falmouth from 6-6 out in the North Meadow on Saturday October 8th.  (There will be signs.)  Turk and I will have one on Sunday at 164 Main Street in Cape Porpoise.  Feel free to come for as little or as long as you would like to either Big Sit.

If you want more information on Maine Audubon's go to Gilsland Farm Big Sit

Or to do your own go to Big Sit - Birdwatcher's Digest.
