Hi all,
More observations of note from me over the past seven days, now that it's finally starting to feel and look like the season, included the following:
- 1 Red-shouldered Hawk, 3 Black-bellied Plovers, 1 hen American Wigeon, 2 Ruddy Turnstones, and 4 Purple Sandpipers, Winslow Park, Freeport, 12/3 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 female WILSON'S WARBLER, Bailey Island, Harspwell, 12/4.
- 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Fairview St, East Belfast, 12/6 (with Evan Obercian and Jeannette Lovitch).
- 1 male Red-winged Blackbird, 2 Winter Wrens, 2 Swamp Sparrows, and 1 Northern Flicker, Peak's Island, 12/8 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 1 continuing immature male KING EIDER, Portland fish pier, 12/8 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 38 Horned Larks and 1 Snow Bunting, Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 12/9.
- 20 Snow Buntings, Upper Street, Turner, 12/9.
- 47 Greater and 12 Lesser Scaup, Lake Auburn, Auburn, 12/9.
- 1 Northern Shrike (FOS), Hotel Rd, Auburn, 12/9.
- 1 hen WOOD DUCK, Durham Boat Launch, Durham, 12/9.
