[Maine-birds] Re: Snowy Owl - Portland Jetport

The plane watching lot I speak of is on the South side of the jetport, off of Aviation Blvd. Here is a google map link to the exact location;

I birded the South Portland area today and observed a Snowy Owl out on the edge of one of the runways. I viewed the bird from the plane watching parking lot. Also present at the Jetport was a large group of Snow Buntings with some Horned Larks mixed in.

Also of note in the South Portland area was a 1st winter Northern Shrike out at Wainwright fields.

My eBird checklist contains photos;

Happy winter birding!
