Despite snow all day, the Unity CBC was run this past Saturday for the 20th consecutive year. Although the results are not complete, some of the highlights thus far included double digits in both Evening and Pine Grosbeaks, a late kestrel, a Savannah Sparrow, a shrike, and eight Horned Larks.
Almost no gulls were present at Knox Ridge on count day, but Iceland and Lesser Black-backed were located there for count week birds.
We could still use help for the Hartland count on Christmas eve. If anyone is so inclined, please contact me off-line.
