[Maine-birds] Broad-winged hawk in town Hallowell

For the third time in as many weeks, we had a broad-winged hawk in our yard in town Hallowell.

Yesterday we heard its call, looked out and it landed in our oak tree with prey in its talons.

Have to admit, in 25 years in this house we have seen Broad-winged hawks migrating overhead, but never in our yard.
