[Maine-birds] Wilson’s Phalarope at Weskeag

Today beginning at 11 am we observed a female Wilson's Phalarope feeding close to shore at the Weskeag Marsh in South Thomaston. The bird was feeding along the grassy edge between the parking lot on Buttermilk Lane and the bridge that crosses the river. The bird was feeding in the water but also catching flying insects. We observed the bird for about an hour, and it was still there when we left. The tide was fairly high. We got an iPhone photo which you can see on my eBird checklist. https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S45926856
