[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and New Arrivals, 5/12-18

Hi all,
My observations of note over the past seven days included:
- 15 species of warblers, led by 14 Yellow-rumped and 12 Black-and-white, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/12 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 18 species of warblers, led by 18 Black-throated Blue Warblers, 17 Ovenbirds, and 17 Common Yellowthroats, Florida Lake Park, 5/14.
- 17 species of warblers, led by 14 Yellow-rumped, 14 Common Yellowthroats, and 12 Ovenbirds, Florida Lake Park, 5/15 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Glossy Ibis, Bradbury Mountain Spring Hawkwatch, 5/15 - my 135th patch bird for the count site!
- 1 continuing CLAY-COLORED SPARROW, Bowdoin Sand Plain, Brunswick, 5/17. 

And my personal first-of-years were as follows:
- 1 Canada Warbler, Florida Lake Park, 5/12.
- 2 Scarlet Tanagers, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/13 (with Marion Sprague).
- 3 YELLOW-THROATED VIREOS, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/13 (with Marion Sprague).
- 1 Green Heron, Florida Lake Park, 5/14. 
- 3 Bay-breasted Warblers, Florida Lake Park, 5/15 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Swainson's Thrush, our yard in Pownal, 5/16.
- 1 Winter Wren, Hedgehog Mountain Park, Freeport, 5/16  - incredibly late for my FOY, but they have been conspicuously absent at my usual springtime haunts.
- 1 Black-billed Cuckoo (on the early side), Runaround Pond, Durham, 5/17.
- 11 Laughing Gulls, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 5/17.
- 1 UPLAND SANDPIPER, Brunswick Landing, 5/17.
