[Maine-birds] Scarborough: YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT HERON

Scarborough Wildlife Sanctuary, at approximately 10:40am at second pond (the one with cattails) I was shocked to spot a Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Flushed from the trail side in the cattails and flew to the far bank. Smaller grey heron, white cheek framed by black above and below, light stripe on crown starting from base of bill. Did not move while I watched it. Did not have my phone for pictures.
