My son and I went to Jones Creek at Pine Point this afternoon just before low tide and found my and his first Baird's Sandpiper amongst the many common shorebirds. I had good comparitive views with a White-Rumped Sandpiper at one point where the two birds followed each other for a minute or so. 3 American Oystercatchers were still present in the flats across from the pier. Also added three birds to my yard list today -Swainson's Thrush(2), Veery, and Yellow-Bellied Flycatcher. The YBFL would have been my FOY if I hadn't seen one at Evergreen this morning.
Bird haahd,
Noah
