[Maine-birds] One less Starling

I had quite an experience 2 days ago during the storm. I went outside and after 30 seconds or so I heard and saw everyone from the feeders and nearby trees scatter. I caught something out of the corner of my eye screeming in from the right. He went into the Pine trees where the Doves took refuge and scattered them hard. The Coop flew around that tree twice then came out and chased a Starling 75+ feet right towards my house, namely my bow window that looks upon the feeders and at the very last second prior to impact the Starling banged a hard right and so did the Coop, just as they did the Coop got the starling as evidenced by some splattering on my window. I guess he literaly scared the **** out of him. He then landed on the ground and let me observe him for about 10 minutes before deciding to take him elsewhere to devour. After about 5 minutes of plucking and pulling while on the ground the Starling tried to make a mad dash out of there as the Coop seemingly let go of his grasp however momentarily. What a gruesome death for sure but a Coop can't live if it doesnt eat. I would much rather him take a Starling than 1 of my 8 male Cardinals.
