After a long silence here at Three Pines Bird Sanctuary a Barred Owl was vocalizing very near to the house at 9:40 PM. This is the first I have heard here this year. Aslo I started tapping Maple Trees a couple of days ago and already have collected some sap. Sap running and Barred Owls calling..... some hope that the Earth is tilting in the spring direction.
