[Maine-birds] THREE life birds today

Hi all!

With amazing help from this group and especially Doug Hitchcox and Joe
Shaw I was able to get three life birds today.

1. Great Cormorant off of 7th street in Biddeford. (THANKS FOR THE
GREAT DIRECTIONS DOUG)
2. KING EIDER with great directions from Doug and others, and a good
eye from Joe who we ran into who was as excited as we were to find this
gorgeous bird.

After failing to find even where we were supposed to be looking for the
northern shrike and the lark sparrow, we gave up and went back to
Biddeford after Doug's posting about the SNOWY OWL on Woods Island.

Loved exploring new birding options.

Really bummed about the shrike though. That would have been another
life bird. If anyone sees one or knows where I should be looking in the
seacoast York or Rockingham counties, please let me know.

Happy birding,
Jess
