[Maine-birds] Saco - Water St - and Spring is in the air!

Good Morning,

Barrows continues, ring-necks continue, a very dark (melanistic?) mallard or black duck is back.  Additional Drake CoGos today so there were2 Drake 3 Hen Cogos and the Drake Barrows.  Great Cormorant also still around.  No raptors today.

Lots of bird and birder sightings today... I had a Pat Moynihan yesterday and this morning a woman with a spotting scope and another with binoculars later.  Last week we had a Bill Bunn with his camera.  Its nice to see everyone out there.  My window is by the a/c compressors where the building has a brick facade.  Feel free to knock on my window and say hi if you see me at my desk.

Also, watch out for "landmines."  Lazy dog owners are not picking up after their pets.

Spring must be in the air because I am hearing Titmice calling, Cardinals Singing, I the Goldneyes performing their courtship antics and lots of mallards bobbing their heads in synchronization and then mating.

Chuck
