[Maine-birds] Woodie in the Kennebec

After a particularly birdless snowshoe trip along the historic Peterson Canal in Bath this afternoon, scanned the Kennebec for gulls.  Almost zero of the latter.  Don't know where they went.  Nice ice floes drifting downstream along the riverfront. but no gullage on board.  But there was a drake Wood Duck w/ 2 Mallards along the riverfront off No. Washington St.  I guess moderately rare in winter.    Photo:  http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S12919457
