Re: [Maine-birds] King Eider

The King Eider continues today at Prouts Neck. I pulled off at the
Yacht Club and looked straight out across the bay. It was pretty far
out, I needed my scope to even ID it. A nice drake in full breeding
plumage. Spent a lot of time diving, seemed to be coming up with crabs
and devouring them on the surface, then diving again. Askewed the
company of other ducks. Good luck if you go!
