[Maine-birds] Wild goose chase

Thank you to all the people that responded to my email. We were able to catch the goose and it is being transported up to the Cotes near China. A big thank you to IF&W for coming and catching the goose. Scott Lindsay must have been a track star in his previous life.

The deformity that it had is called angels wing. It is caused from malnutrition. There does also seem to be a genetic predisposition and it occurs more often in males. It never occurs in geese and ducks when they are eating only their natural food. Unfortunately many people were feeding this family of geese bread.
