[Maine-birds] Looking for some info about your experience with eye glasses and binoculars

Good morning,

                Hope you do not feel this inquiry is off topic.   I think this list serve is an excellent resource for me to tap because of your experience which you could share with me to help me make a decision on what eye glass lenses I should purchase.  If I receive some interesting responses , I will summarize them and make a post for all to read. 

                 I just got my bins back from Swarovski factory so they must be in tip top shape therefore it must be my astigmatisms that are preventing me from seeing the birds clearly with them.   I have succumbed to the realization that the time has come for me to wear corrective lenses.

                I am not ready to take on contact lenses - yet !!  So I have three choices:  progressive lenses, bi-focals,  or tri - focals.   ( leaning towards progressives or tri-focals to help the small near focus and distance focus corrections I need along with being able to focus on my computer screen. )

                I am seeking input from those of you out there that use glasses with your binoculars.

                Please let me know which lenses you use and your thoughts on the pros and cons of them?   

                If you have tried other types than the ones you now use (progressive, bi-focals, tri-focals) please share with me your reasons for selecting your final choice over the others.
