[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 6/27-7/3

Hi all,

Just a few additional sightings of note from me over the past seven days, not previously reported here, included:

- 1 Peregrine Falcon, calling at ducks overlooking downtown Camden, 6/30 (with Paul Doiron, Kristen Lindquist, and Jeannette).

- 2 Greater Yellowlegs (first southbound migrants of "fall), Scarborough Marsh, 7/2 (with clients from NY).

- 1 Whimbrel (FOY), Pine Point, Scarborough, 7/2 (with clients from NY).

- 1 Yellow-throated Vireo, Morgan Meadow WMA, Raymond, 7/3 (with clients from ME).

And a horrific, but mostly identifiable, photo of the Pacific Loon at Simpson Point from 6/30 can be seen here, for what little it is worth. While I am sure someone can write a two-page treatise confirming or refuting all of the details so clearly evident in this photo, I do think there's enough to at least fairly convincingly offer it as a "documentation" shot:
