Charles,
Since 7/3, I have looked for the Little Egret three times at high tide and two times at low tide. I found it at the end of Providence Avenue each time at high tide (including this morning, 7/13 - video from this morning at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcQktFoER8FMJJLG3hr56NA/videos). Scan carefully at this location as the bird can be hidden in the tall grass. The gentleman who lives in the house at the end of Providence Avenue is very friendly and interested in the egret.
At low tides, I found the bird once at a great distance from the North Meadow Trail briefly before it flew up the river/estuary and missed it the other time (this afternoon).
I hope this helps. I am not on the Maine list serve so feel free to post this if you think others may be interested.
Good luck,
Tim Fennell

I'd appreciate any updates--positive or not--on searches/sightings of the Little Egret. I have a birding friend from NJ arriving Tuesday afternoon hoping to tick it as he nears 800 ABA-area birds. We looked this afternoon at the North Meadow about 17:00-18:00. The best I can say is that we briefly saw two Egretta egrets side by side in poor light with one slightly larger than the other.
