The Black-backed Woodpecker seen here on 10/4 and 10/8 made another appearance this morning. This time on a large recently dead white pine, about .2 mile from the other sightings. This tree is not close to the road. I would be happy to give more info to anyone that wants to try for this bird. Note that all three sightings have been between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.
