[Maine-birds] Belfast Bay census of Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016

Gary Gulezian and I did the census that morning.  Weather was pleasant for a winter's day and visibility was good.  The overall number of birds was 1133 about 80% of which were Mallards and Herring Gulls and has become expected in the deep winter months.   Highlight birds were a second cycle Glaucous Gull with a beautiful white plumage and a possible Common x Barrow's Goldeneye.  The latter bird was seen at the Belfast Footbridge, and for details see the Comments section of the ebird report, which can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
