The Bullock’s Oriole in Camden made a brief appearance this morning at 9:10. It spent a few moments flitting around the tree tops, then crossed the street and did not return before I departed at 9:35. Two Cooper’s Hawks are in the area, which is probably keeping birds lively.
By the way, the oriole will be the subject of my Bangor Daily News column this Friday, but I didn’t get a good photo. Anyone wishing to donate a photo to the BDN can send it to me by email. You’ll get photo credit and the same cashless attaboy that I get.
