[Maine-birds] Herb Wilson talk at UNE Dec 12: The Patterns of Maine’s Migratory Breeding Birds

The Center for Global Humanities at the University of New England (UNE) is hosting Herb Wilson for a public talk on Monday, December 12th at 6 p.m. at the WCHP Lecture Hall in Parker Pavilion on UNE's Portland Campus.  Herb Wilson will present "The Patterns of Maine's Migratory Breeding Birds."

A professor of biosciences at Colby College, Wilson will detail his 22-year study of the spring arrival times of more than 100 species of migratory birds that visit Maine.  By combining his research with data extending to the turn of the 20th century, he will explain how global climate change is affecting our winged friends.

A public reception will precede the lecture at 5 p.m. at the UNE Art Gallery.
