Visitors:
9 people visited the Hawkwatch today.

Weather:
It was a blustery day, with winds out of the west gusting upwards of 25mph at times. Skies were partly to mostly cloudy with temps reaching 59F. Visiblilty was very good throughout the day, except for a half hour period in mid-afternoon when we had to scamper for the trees to avoid some passing showers.

Raptor Observations:
Most of today's activity occurred during the first half of the day. A couple of local Broad-winged Hawks were seen from time to time.

Non-raptor Observations:
Not much else was migrating today. Just 5 Double-crested Cormorants, 2 Tree Swallows, and 2 Common Loons were counted.

Predictions:
Keith Carson keeps saying tomorrow will be the pick of the next week and a half. Temperatures in the low 60s, sun, and moderate winds should make for pleasant conditions on the summit. Wind direction is forecast to be out of the NW initially with a gradual shift to the south so some birds may certainly be moving ahead of our next rain event.
