Hi all,
My non-Sandy Point observations of note over the past eight days included the following:
- 1 BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 1 juv Red Knot, 24 Black Scoters, etc Lubec Bar, 8/18 (with Jeannette).
- 2 Great Egrets, fields along Route 1, Baring Division of Moosehorn NWR, Edmunds Twp, 8/19 (with Jeannette).
- Off Lubec to Eastport, mostly in Maine waters in Friar Roads, with Chris Bartlett and Jeannette, 8/20:
1 adult LITTLE GULL
4-5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls
~40 Red-necked Phalaropes
1 Atlantic Puffin
12+ Great Shearwaters
2 Razorbills, et
- 1 juv WESTERN SANDPIPER (photo on store Facebook page), 1 juv STILT SANDPIPER, 59+ White-rumped Sandpipers, etc, etc, Eastern Road Trail, Scarborough Marsh, 8/21.
- 1 juv Red Knot, Hill's Beach, 8/22 (with clients from Maine and Massachusetts).
- 2 Cape May Warblers, Penny Lake Preserve, Boothbay, 8/23 (with client from Oregon).
- 66 Great Shearwaters, 1 Red-necked Phalarope, 22 Wilson's Storm-Petrels, etc, Cap n' Fish whale watch from Boothbay Harbor, 8/23 (with client from Oregon).
