Re: [Maine-birds] Long-billed Dowitcher, Sanford Lagoons, 8/3-4

He was leaving just as a friend and I arrived-too bad, he could have pointed out the dowitcher for us! Did see lots of yellow legs and a common snipe-probably missed a bunch more species than I saw!  Sharon in West K'bunk

Hi all,
David Sibley reports an adult LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER has been present at the Sanford Lagoons each of the past two mornings. It has been  "hiding in the cattail stubble along the south (far) edge of the first pool, directly opposite the gate."
