[Maine-birds] Fort Foster evening seawatch

Have taken to sitting on a convenient bench with spotting scope and bins from roughly 6 to 8 pm a couple days a week at Fort Foster in Kittery Pt to scan for southbound activity from the southernmost bit of Maine that you don’t need a boat to get to.  Last night’s highlights included a flock of twenty five Bonaparte’s Gulls, bright in the evening light, a snowy egret, many barn swallows, small flocks of peeps, and a lot of common terns.  Not to mention the eiders, gulls, and cormorants that litter the waterways.  Waiting for whimbrels now.
