I saw a worm eating Warbler on the Stroudwater trail, not that far from where the trail crosses under 95. Below Unum trail acces point. It was this past Monday, July 31st @3:30pm I knew it was something cool because I have never seen a Warbler that looked like this. Prominent black crown stripes and olive coloring with buffy underparts. Gleaming insects from a young pine tree. The clincher was the birds location. Just as Forbush states " in the north it frequents wooded hillsides" and the Cornell Lab says " this bird is often found on steep slopes with dense understory" which nicely describes the terrain running parallel to the Stroudwater river.
