[Maine-birds] skimmer and H Godwit remain at Pine Point along with late S-b Dowitcher

I stopped by at midday and saw the young skimmer and the juvenile Hudsonian Godwit at very close range. Lots on Dunlin, both molting adults and juvs, numbers of Semi Sandpipers still, Pec, White-rump, etc... plus a molting immature Short-billed Dowitcher (getting late).

I arrived at 11:30 as the tide was coming in (the flats in the river were covered) and the birds concentrated on the diminishing flats north of the coop were lively. As the tide got higher, the birds's energy levels got higher and the birds pulled out to roost elsewhere.

Very nice experience.

Best, Peter
