Re: [Maine-birds] Black-backed Woodpecker in Westport

I wonder if we are on the cusp of an invasion winter.  I had a nice male Black-backed in my woods today--the first ever for my yard, and only my second for extreme southern Somerset County--far from their normal digs.  In addition my nephew reported several Pine Grosbeaks not far away earlier this week.
