For those interested: The Fatal Light Awareness Program in Toronto has excellent information on their web site about window hits, the number one killer of birds. http://www.flap.org

 

Windows and cats cause by far more fatalities than turbines and cell towers (not to deny the adverse impact of those structures). You may not be able to change the world, but you can reduce window hits at your home and keep your feline indoors as a start.

Here's a link to an article that reminds us wind turbines are not the only problem. But there are ways to ameliorate both if we are willing to make the effort.
