As we try to nail down the identification of the Selasphorus hummingbird in Biddeford, I wanted to share and hopefully get some input on the audio of the bird. I've just done a blog post comparing spectrograms of the bird's call notes I was able to take on the 26th. It isn't hard to see that the call looks exact like that of a Rufous Hummingbird but I don't know how significant this is (I'm working with a very small sample size.)
Until I hear from someone with more experience, I think I have to still call this a Selasphorus sp. But after seeing the comparison you'll probably know which way I'm leaning:
