A FIELD SPARROW continues to visit private feeders in Berwick.
A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported in a Cape Porpoise Yard on the 6th.
Continuing from January 13th, a SNOWY OWL has been seen on Strawberry Island, visible from the rock ledges off Great Hill Road in Kennebunk. The bird was still being seen here as of the 10th.
On the 6th, a SNOWY OWL was seen on top of the chimney next to the lighthouse on Wood Island, visible from East Point Sanctuary in Biddeford Pool.
Greater Portland
On the 10th, a KING EIDER was found below the Yacht Club at Prout's Neck in Scarborough.
The sporadic visits of the 'OREGON' DARK-EYED JUNCO to feeders in Cumberland continues with reappearances on the 8th and 9th.
CANVASBACKS continued to linger this week with one in the Presumpscot River in Westbrook and six in the Presumpscot, visible from the Route 9 bridge in Falmouth. All of these birds were still being seen as of the 7th.
Kennebec River Valley (Augusta-Waterville)
The immature GOLDEN EAGLE was last reported around The Flood Brothers Farm in Clinton on the 5th when a second GOLDEN EAGLE, an adult, was also reported in the same area.
Midcoast
A HOARY REDPOLL was photographed a private feeders in Bowdoinham on the 4th.
Penobscot Bay
An AMERICAN KESTREL has continued throughout the winter along route 137 in Knox and was reported again on the 6th.
The ROSS'S GOOSE that had been present at the Samoset Golf Course in Rockland since January 31st was last reported on the 4th.
Central Maine
Feeders in Hudson, on the north end of Pushaw Lake, hosted a HOARY REDPOLL on the 9th.
Downeast
On the 4th, an AMERICAN COOT was seen at the intersection of Upper Falls Road and Soper Road. The bird was first found here on the 2nd.
An adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was seen again on the 7st at private feeders in Bar Harbor.
In Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island, a BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER was seen on Seal Cove Road on the 7th.
Two HOARY REDPOLLS were photographed visiting feeders in Eastport on the 7th.
Northern Maine
A NORTHERN HAWK OWL continued this week in Houlton. The bird has been seen a short distance down Access Road near York's car dealership.
Continuing from the Presque Isle CBC, a BROWN THRASHER was seen again on the 7th at a house in Easton.
